Tutors/ teachers for DaF/ DaZ 

Otto von Guericke Transfer and Project Management GmbH is a 100% subsidiary of the University of Magdeburg. We form the interface between the university, companies and students and can act faster, more efficiently and with less bureaucracy. We want to create added value for the students.

Our project expands the German courses at the Otto-von-Guericke University. We want to offer high-quality teaching for foreign students and postgraduates. We don't just want integration to be conveyed, we want it to be lived.

​

For this purpose we are looking for teachers/tutors in the field of German as a foreign language/second language.

​

Workload by arrangement (usually in the evenings from 4 p.m., not on weekends, at least twice a week with the possibility of increasing the weekly hours).

Your area of responsibility: 

  • Independent implementation of DaF/DaZ courses for beginners without previous knowledge A0 with the aim of A1

  • Independent implementation of DaF/ DaZ courses for advanced learners - bridging course A2 to B1

  • Independent organization and implementation of excursions, city rallies, intercultural training, etc.

  • Face-to-face classes at the University of Magdeburg (no online classes)

What you bring: 

  • Student in the field of German Studies, teaching or German as a foreign language or a comparable other (linguistic) course

  • We welcome lateral entrants if they can demonstrate native or comparable knowledge of German (a B1 certificate from Goethe is not sufficient)

  • excellent German pronunciation

  • Methodical variety for a varied lesson

  • Enthusiastic and motivating personality

  • Ability to work in a team, because we want to achieve goals together in our start-up

  • intercultural competence in dealing with students from different countries of origin

What we offer: 

  • small groups of 8 - 12 participants per course

  • Textbooks and materials for the courses are provided by us

  • Employment opportunities on a fee basis, work contract or trade license

  • in case of professional suitability, a permanent position is possible after the probationary period

  • Personal initiative in designing the lessons (excursions are welcome)

  • Supervision by trained specialists (you will not be left alone with us)
